Not Forgotten

Greetings in the Strong Name of Jesus!

Not Forgotten.
Luke 12:6-7 - “What is the price of five sparrows? A couple of pennies? Not much more than that. Yet God does not forget a single one of them. 7 And he knows the number of hairs on your head! Never fear, you are far more valuable to him than a whole flock of sparrows.”  TLB

Undoubtedly, you will find yourself headed to some sort of event today, an appointment or grocery shopping or maybe a Bible study.  I would challenge you to pay attention to the things you see around you.  Perhaps you will see other cars, other people, people walking or jogging, and even a stray dog or cat.  But I would especially challenge you to watch for birds.

Several years ago, now, we moved into a newer housing development.  The builder, rather than try to save the trees and build around them, decided to cut them all down to maximize the land use for homes.  I love trees and that was one of the down sides to living in this area.  While living there we made it a point to plant some trees and planted about six trees around the property.  The things I missed the most of not having trees has returned.  The sound of birds in the early morning singing their praise to God.  As I read the scripture today, I was reminded of the birds.  They are precious to the Lord for He created them.  Most of them are beautiful to behold and sing a beautiful song.  As beautiful as they are, however, they are not as precious to God as you and me.  We are the most precious living thing in His sight.  He even says we are more precious and valuable to Him than a whole flock of sparrows.  How encouraging is that?  Not only that, but the very hairs on your head are numbered.  Now that is a God who pays attention to His creation.  For some of us He has to renumber them every day...because we have more growing in, or is it more falling out?

As you head out the door today, look at the birds and remember you are more valuable to God than they are.  You are special, you are unique, you are loved and you are prayed for!
